When I get into bed at the end of a long ole day, very little thought goes into the position I sleep in.

I might start by face planting my pillow, before tossing and turning for a bit and finally lying on my side… usually my right side to be precise.

But apparently my sleeping position is a lot more important than I first thought because according to Elite Daily my side sleeping habit is going to give me more wrinkles than that shirt I’ve never bothered ironing.

Elite spoke to Skin Repair Expert, Lorena Öberg who explained that sleeping on your side causes premature ageing by creating small folds which leads to wrinkles.

And according to a study by the UK Sleep Assessment and Advisory Service, 41% of us sleep on our sides. So basically we’re all looking at a wrinkly-faced future.

But I’m gonna be honest with you, as much as I don’t want to prematurely age, I know that I’m going to go home tonight, get into bed and roll straight onto my side because that’s just what I do.
