Since her debut in Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” music video in 2013, Emily Ratajkowski’s popularity has soared — just look at her 17.1-million Instagram followers.
And while the 26-year-old actress and model’s career appears to be going as well as her personal life — she’s newly married and stars alongside Amy Shumer in the spring movie, I Feel Pretty — her health and fitness routine has remained pretty chill through it all. Here’s how she’s prepped the body you’re now seeing E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E:
1. She ate carbs for breakfast.
At home, Emily began her days with black coffee, granola, yogurt, and (sometimes) toast, according to a 2015 interview with Vogue.com. On the go, she’d opt for a croissant-like pastry called kouign-amann and black coffee at Blacktop Coffee in Los Angeles, California, Emily told Harper’s Bazaar that same year.
2. She ate all the meat.
“You know, I’m a carnivore. I really like to eat meat. I crave iron,” she told ELLE in 2014.
3. She ate standard lunch fare — just like you!
Emily’s typical midday meal is a salad or sandwich, according to Harper’s Bazaar.
4. She ordered a ton of takeout.
Some of Emily’s favorite foods include sushi and Italian. “The list goes on,” she told Vogue.com. “You should see my refrigerator,” she said referring to her impressive stash of leftover takeout containers on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2017. “It’s pretty insane — I have a relationship with Postmates — it’s basically Indian food and Thai food.”
5. …And she ate dinner out, too.
“Dinner is my time to be social and catch up with people,” she told Harper’s Bazaar, noting her go-to: The vegan organic restaurant chain Café Gratitude in downtown L.A.
6. But wait: She also cooked!
Because she thinks it’s important to keep an eye on where your food comes from and what’s in it, Emily told ELLE, “I cook a lot, so that really helps: You know how much salt and sugar and all of that kind of stuff you are putting in your body.”
7. She said “YAASS!” to dessert.
“I think it’s good to indulge occasionally,” she told ELLE. “I definitely love a good cupcake sometimes,” Her other favorite desserts include dark chocolate or pumpkin cheesecake, according to Vogue.com.
8. She drank water before bed.
Part of her bedtime routine included “chugging water,” per Harper’s Bazaar, although, she didn’t elaborate on exactly how much she tends to drink (or the frequency of her midnight bathroom trips).
9. She took yoga classes at least once a week.
Besides taking hikes with her friends, Emily also said she got bendy at a local yoga studio near on her days off, according to a 2016 interview with InStyle. “Doing yoga a couple of times a week is a really big part of my regimen,” she told ELLE.
10. Walking was her cardio.
“I don’t have a trainer, and I don’t really go to the gym,” Emily said in a 2015 interview with the New York Times. “I go on long walks and hikes with my girlfriends. That’s about it. I’m just not a crazy fitness person.”
