If you’re a lover of all things snug and cosy, then you’ll adore this compact hotel in Copenhagen.

Situated in the lively Vesterbro neighbourhood in the Danish city, Central Hotel & Cafe is the world’s smallest hotel. It only has one bedroom and bathroom. The building itself is one of the tiniest in Copenhagen.

But it’s got everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a double bed, a mini bar, stereo, free Wi-Fi and a flat screen TV that can be hidden from view. The room also incorporates beautiful handcrafted details.

Head downstairs to enjoy the café, which sells sandwiches, cakes and other sweet treats.

Built in 1905, the Central Hotel & Café used to be a shoe repair shop before the Second World War. The miniature hotel’s owners, Jacob Kamp and Leif Thingtved, decided to renovate the building, which stood empty since the 80s.

The pair say that staying in the hotel is like stepping back in time, Her reports: “When guests arrive at the hotel fresh flowers, fruit and wine will be waiting for them in their room. There is also the possibility of making fresh coffee.”

During your stay you will also be provided with two bicycles to explore the city. And for those who enjoy the finer things in life, you can arrange to have a bottle of chilled Champagne or chocolate ready in your room upon arrival.

Does this sound up your street? The price is 2.500 DKK (£290) per night.
