The Easter tree has become a lovely way to celebrate spring and there are so many ways to create the wow factor while giving your home a seasonal update.

As a starting point, you’ll need to collect small branches in the woods from trees that haven’t yet blossomed or buy contorted willow from the florist. To give you some creative inspiration, we spoke to the team at Addo Events about their top Easter tree decorating ideas, designed to suit your home and garden.

1. Simple but effortless tree

Collect some branches from a tree about to bloom and place them in a jug (preferably one with a solid base so you don’t see the water). Purchase a few pastel coloured eggs to hang from the branches, or blow your own eggs and paint them.

You could also buy plain white eggs and dip them in glitter – these will contrast beautifully against the brown of the twigs. Place the jug on the sideboard and add some arrangements of bulbs, narcissi or daffodils, candles, and finally, some pots of mini chocolate eggs!

2. Bold and adventurous tree

Buy contorted willow from a florist or flower market and, using a larger vessel placed on a central table (perhaps in the hallway), decorate your tree at 360 degrees using decorations that tie in with your interiors. You may need to weight your vase using pale coloured pebbles.

3. A beautiful show-stopping tree

Another beautiful Easter tree can be designed by using a large bunch of blossom loosely popped into a large vase. You could also add some pussy willow or a few flowers such as narcissi or the palest double headed tulips. Around the base you could add candles or rabbits (chocolate or china!).

4. Large scale display tree

For a large scale arrangement find an urn and create a tree that looks like it is growing from the base. Weight the urn and place lots of moss around it to make it look neat. Fill the urn with branches and decorate with glass and pale feathered eggs, this will look stunning and very professional.

5. Outside/garden Easter tree

For an outside tree, decorate with fairy lights and hang eggs from the branches – this will really come into its own when your guests are taking part in the egg hunt on Easter Sunday. You could even hide some eggs in the tree, don’t forget to pop some low down for the children!

6. An alternative tree

For something totally different, collect a large branch from the garden and tie upside down above the table and decorate, it’ll be such a fabulous addition to the Easter table.

7. Flat Easter tree

Create a flat Easter tree by running twigs, blossom and eggs the length of the table – very easy and effective.

8. Addo’s top pick: Circular hoop tree

Our favourite styling option for Easter is to take a circular hoop, intertwine twisted willow and blossom and hang eggs at different heights. Attach the hoop to the ceiling above the table to create wow factor. And whatever else you do, don’t forget to use some feathers – they are easy to find at this time of the year; so striking and ‘of the moment’.
