Mercedes-Maybach has unveiled its ultimate limousine for ‘high-ranking passengers’ – the £450,000-plus Pullman.
The Pullman name has, for more than 50 years, been synonymous with the world’s richest and powerful people – ferrying tycoons, celebrities and heads of state around in perfect luxury.

And the latest model has the same standards, with the rear – known as the club lounge – designed to allow four very important passengers to relax in executive seats with legroom for the tallest of people.
The VIPs can also be separated from their chauffeur by an electric partition.

However, they will still be able to see the road ahead thanks to a camera that broadcasts the traffic in front onto a screen in the cabin.

At 6.5 metres and 3.6-tonnes, the Pullman is a vast machine but it is no slouch.
With a 6-litre V12 engine developing 630bhp, the Rolls-Royce rival will surge from 0-62mph in just 6.5 seconds.
The radiator grille at the front was inspired by a pinstriped suit with the vast machine rolling on a set of 20-inch wheels.

It comes with a hefty starting price of around £450,000 – but some wealthy customers will pay significantly more to have it armoured.
A statement from Mercedes-Maybach said: ‘Many governments, heads of state and royal families around the world have, for decades, chosen Mercedes-Benz saloon cars with the designation “Pullman” to travel in the stately style befitting their status.

‘With the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman, the company is underscoring its exceptional position in this discerning segment.

‘In addition to providing spacious seating in first-class comfort for high-ranking passengers, the new Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is, of course, also the embodiment of exclusivity at its highest level.
‘One can sense the significance and greatness of it in every detail.’
