In the clip, a paddler is seen exploring the clear open waters on board a kayak.
Then out of nowhere, a huge dark figure comes pacing towards the small boat.
The horrifying figure is revealed to be a massive orca, as the killer whale swerves right at the last minute and begins to swim off.
And just as the passenger feels he may be safe, the killer whale turns around and heads towards the watercraft again.
Narrowly avoiding making contact, the sea creature decides to let the lonesome explorer live.
The clip has gained a mass of popularity after it was shared on Reddit yesterday.
The original video now has over 3 million views.
And viewers are equally horrified.
One comment read: “Holy f***. I would headed straight to shore.”
Another added: “Did you see how fast it swam up to the kayak? I would be like this is scariest s*** I’ve ever seen.”
And a third simply stated: “I would be absolutely terrified in that situation.”
While killer whales are not known for their attacks on humans, there have been cases of captive orcas killing or injuring their handlers at marine theme parks.
