On February 7, reports began circulating that the Spice Girls would be going on a reunion tour in the U.S. and the U.K., prompted by an incredible Instagram (posted by Victoria Beckham, a.k.a. Posh Spice) of all five members and their manager reunited. “The future looks spicy!,” the caption read. A frenzy ensued. Anonymous sources told *TMZ that the plans were in motion, with Posh being the last one to come around to the idea.
And though the rumor mill churns fast, it can be shut down just as quickly. In an interview with Vogue UK published on Saturday, Beckham squashed any rumors of a reunion tour in the near future. The designer said simply: “I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour.” Also not happening: a movie. Stop right now, Posh.

Love u all so much!!! X Such a great day!! Thank u Simon! X VB

On the bright side, Beckham confirmed what we could already tell from the group shot she posted on Instagram earlier this month: The squad lunch was delightful. “It was so great to see the girls,” she told Vogue UK. “We had such a fun lunch. It was really, really, really lovely. I still speak to them all individually, but for us all to get together was really lovely.”

Love my girls!!! So many kisses!!! X Exciting x #friendshipneverends #girlpower

Lovely—”really lovely”—lunch aside, she didn’t strike out all plans for Spice Girls in the future: Beckham mentioned to Vogue UK that “brainstorming” had occurred during the lunch, though she reiterated the fact that designing is what she does now and deflected a question about whether another movie was in the works. (“Is that what you really, really want?” she asked. We think you know the answer, VB.)

“You know, there’s so much bad stuff going on, and the Spice Girls were about fun and celebrating individuality,” she told Vogue UK. “I think there’s so much that the brand can do, and it’s such a positive message for young kids. What does that look like in the future? It’s not me in a cat-suit.”
Whatever it is, we’re here when you’re ready, Victoria.
