St Christopher’s Inn at the Village in London Bridge offers tiny capsule bedrooms with clean bedding, a reading light, free wifi and complimentary earplugs.
CAPSULE hotels – those places where bedrooms are packed on top of each other a launderette – have been a mainstay in big Japanese cities for a while now.
But now the pod accommodation has come to the UK.
Britain’s first pod hotel has opened in London Bridge – costing from just £19 a night.
St Christopher’s Inn at the Village is the first hostel in the UK to offer the capsule bedrooms.
The property has 26 of the bedrooms, all stacked on top of each other.
While the rooms are tiny, they come with clean bedding, a black-out blind instead of a door at the entrance, a reading light and complimentary earplugs.
