WESTWORLD has released a thrilling new trailer for its highly anticipated season two and it seems that fans of the HBO show won’t have long to wait for the next instalment.

Westworld’s second season is about to hit screens and in anticipation of the science-fiction show, HBO released a thrilling trailer during last night’s Super Bowl.

The drama is expected to return on April 22 this year and will pick up from where it left off when the first season finished in 2016.

The exciting preview features a narration by Dolores (played by Evan Rachel Wood) who found herself becoming the hero of season one after shooting the park’s creator, Dr Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins).

The robotic beauty can be heard saying: “Look at this world. This beautiful world. We built this world together. A world where dreams come true. A world where you can be free… But this world is a lie.”

She continues over a panoramic shot of the wild west: “This world deserves to die because this is your world. We lived by your rules long enough. We can save this world.

“We can burn it to the ground and from the ashes, build a new world – our world.”

The trailer then ramps up the action and shows a barrage of stunning imagery from the upcoming season.

One scene shows a heard of robotic bulls charging through the laboratory while an army desperately tries to shoot them down.

What’s more, it seems that Maeve (Thandie Newton) is behind the rebellion as she leads the animals through the park.

Another shot shows a tragic amount of bodies lying in the water and on the ground.

Whether these are hosts or guests is yet to be determined, but it seems that the second season will be more graphic and violent than the first.

It seems that Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) will be given a larger role in the series, as he was the only one to witness Dolores’ murderous actions.

Standing menacingly with an unskinnned-host, will Bernard get revenge on Dolores or is he plotting something even greater?

There’s no sight of Ford in the second season, despite an enormous theory suggesting he could still be alive.
