SpaceX is revving up for the first ever launch of its Falcon Heavy rocket this week, and Elon Musk has given a hint at what will be on board the giant rocket.

Sitting in the driver’s seat is SpaceX’s ‘Starman’ – an astronaut dummy that will also be launched into space.

Musk posted the images on Instagram with the simple caption: “Starman in Red Roadster.”

If the launch is successful, it will mark the biggest rocket to launch since 1973.

After launching, the Falcon Heavy will put a payload – including the Tesla Roadster and Starman -into an elliptical orbit around the sun.

SpaceX will then try to land all three of Falcon Heavy’s boosters – two back at Cape Canaveral, and one on a drone ship off the coast of Florida.

Considering their enormous size this, this will be an impressive feat if SpaceX manages to pull it off.
