Since the beginning of ti-, well, Instagram, we’ve definitely come across our fair share of crazy hair trends and colors. Chocolate rose gold, Tiger Eye, and even glow-in-the-dark hair — you name it, we’ve seen it. But despite all the wild ‘dos and treatments out there, we’ve got to say: Ursula Goff’s incredible hairstyles might be the coolest #HairInspo pretty much ever. A bold thing to say, we know, but take a look for yourself and you’ll see what we mean:

We started our collaboration on this almost a month ago, discussing clouds and the colors that they make when it's stormy. And how that would be an interesting contrast against neons. We originally considered limiting the neon palette, but once she arrived at her appointment, she said, "Maybe we could add other neon colors, too?" And I said, "Do you just wanna go ahead and do neon rainbows?" And her answer was basically YES ALWAYS. A woman after my own heart. PS if anyone knows the photographer for the left photo, let me know so I can give credit; I struggled to trace it back to a reliable source 🙁#rainbowhair #mermaidhair #unicornhair #hologramhair #holographichair #silverhair #iridescenthair #metallic hair #rainbows #behindthechair #modernsalon #americansalon

The Kansas-based colorist is quickly becoming internet famous for turning her clients’ hair into museum-level works of art. She draws inspiration from timeless classics like Vincent van Gogh’s “The Starry Night,” Edvard Munch’s “The Scream,” and Andy Warhol’s “Marilyn Monroe.”

“I was an artist before I was ever anything else,” Ursula told GoodHousekeepingcom. “It’s pretty natural for me to find ways to leave a mark on everything.”

Sometimes she tries to create exact replicas of the artwork using extensions, while for others, she simply uses their color palettes. No matter what though, they’re always gorgeous.

As if the above pics didn’t impress you enough already, Goff also incorporates nature, exotic patterns, and pop culture icons into her creations. And her clients? They pretty much let her roll with it.

“Many of them just tell me to do whatever I want,” Goff says. “I’ll still go over any ideas I have with with them, just to be sure it’s something they will love.”

Debbie's first concert ever was Elvis – and she saw him in Vegas, too! Talk about best concert experience possible! This was a real bitch to photograph, though, because the curve of her head and the two dimensions of the photo really distort his features and I am frustrated as all get out about that. This was also challenging because I used a photo as reference, versus an art piece, and so I had to work out how to stylize it on my own, which I struggle with. I'm best at copying things as-is, and adding a technique or style into it does not come naturally to me. I'm pretty pleased regardless, and Debbie liked it well enough to go have a few laps at Wal-Mart to show it off (that's about the only place still open on a wedsnesday night in a cow town in Kansas). #elvis #theking #hairart #paintingsonhair #portrait #hounddog #jailhouserock #beautylaunchpad #modernsalon #americansalon #BehindTheChair

While the transformations can take anywhere from a few hours to eight or more (!), Goff says the hard work is always worth the end results. It goes without saying, but we wholeheartedly agree.
