Diet Coke has announced some changes to their much-loved recipe – and it’s divided fans of the fizzy drink.

Four new fruity flavours have been added to the zero-calorie soda line.

As well as this, the packaging of the cult product is set to undergo a dramatic makeover.

Even though the original Diet Coke formula will remain the same, not all DC lovers are chuffed by the news.

Later this month, US customers will be able to get their hands on flavoured drinks.

These are expected to be rolled out worldwide, starting with Canada in February.

Ginger Lime, Feisty Cherry, Zesty Blood Orange and Twisted Mango make up the fruity line-up.

Apparently, the experts at Coca-Cola tested 30 different combinations before coming to a decision.

These tropical, citrus and botanical tastes were also trialled on 10,000 people.

Each drink comes in a sleek-looking silver can, with a brightly coloured stripe and illustration appearing down the middle.

Even though the packaging makes it look like there’ll be less product, this isn’t the case.

Many have taken to social media to react to the latest announcement.

Some Twitter users are excited to try out the new flavours for themselves.

Unfortunately, the news hasn’t pleased everyone.

Some fear that Diet Coke Cherry and Diet Coke with Lime will no longer be produced, while others are annoyed there’s no full-fat fruit options.
