Near the end of the year, it’s like the Internet is flooded with opinions (even more so than usual). Everywhere you look, there are year-end “Best of 2017” lists on the best beauty products, best movies, best everything. And while we love a list, Pinterest decided to do something different and look ahead. Pulling from the data of its 48 million beauty Pinners, Pinterest put together a forecast of the biggest beauty trends we’ll be seeing in 2018. Easy lip tints, inclusive foundation lines, and ways you’ll want to switch up your lob are just some of the intel. (Surprisingly not on the list: highlighter, braids, and matte lipstick. We doubt they’re going anywhere, but maybe we’ve reached a saturation point?) Read on for a head start on what’s going to be everywhere next year.

NEXT-LEVEL LASHES
Pinterest says that while we still care about our brows (Cara Delevingne’s still in the world, so, that makes sense), the center of attention is going to be lashes in 2018. Searches are up for them 152%, and if you’re still deciding whether to take the plunge on extensions, there are more options than ever. Magnetic falsies exist, along with these easy mascara tricks that’ll give you that Kylie flutter—now doable without thousands of dollars.

SUPER LONG EXTENSIONS
Lobs and bobs ruled 2017, but come 2018, people are splitting the difference and heading to opposite extremes. Pins for “long hair” are up 130%, and with celebrities like Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Bella Hadid jumping on the trend, we’re all in favor.

PIXIES
But if you’re not down for extensions’ high maintenance, the other direction is looking better and better. Saved Pins for pixies are also included in that 130% hike, and thinking back to Cara Delevingne’s pixie victory tour this summer, the ideas are flowing. Glitter it with rose-gold or go for the Zoe Kravitz; dealing with bleach breakage has never been easier.

GEOMETRIC NAILS
We’re not ones to follow Fashion Week “trends” completely (frizz bouffants are easier said than done), but when a look hits that’s as pretty as graphic nails, we’re game. Pinners agreed, with searches for geometric nails up 83%. The really beautiful part? It’s so much easier to pull off at home than typical nail art. A little tape, a Q-tip of remover, and chipped tips are a thing of the past.

INCLUSIVE FOUNDATION SHADES
This one was such a long time coming, but beauty brands got the message in 2017: we want foundation that matches our skin tone, no matter where it falls on the spectrum. Praise Fenty, that’s finally the norm. Saved Pins for “complexion matching” grew a whopping 378%, meaning 2018 is looking like a year of great foundation for everyone.

WET-LOOK HAIR
There’s no data for this statement, but like, who’d disagree: Kim Kardashian pulled this trend back from the dead. Wet look hair is on the scene again, with saves for slicked back and wavy hair up 166%. So if the wet trend’s not your style (or doable for your hair texture), lean into the curls and waves. Also back, according to Pinterest? Perms—but in a much, much cooler way.

UNDERLINER
Interesting eyeshadow is going strong into 2018—searches for bright eyeshadow are up 63%. Think neon underliner and colorful highlighter on your inner corner for easy options. The first is the best way to look cool in four minutes flat, while Gigi Hadid’s makeup artist, Patrick Ta, has been feeding us inner eyeshadow ideas all year long.

LIP TINTS
We probably should have seen it coming with the launch of Kylie Jenner’s glosses, but it’s looking like light and balmy is coming for our heavy, matte lipstick. Instead, next year’s going to be lip tint’s time to shine (or not. Don’t worry, matte lovers, non-shine tints exist too). Saved lip tint Pins grew by 414%, so stock up before everyone does the same.

CLEANSING OIL
Long sigh, because we’re finally here: collectively, we’ve accepted the idea that oil can be used for good. Saved Pins for cleansing oils are up a wild 555%, and the best part is, we’ve got options at every price. Scratch that—the best part has to be the hydrated skin that cleansing oils give ASAP.

FACIAL ROLLERS
Pinterest delivered this data with a phrase we can’t beat: this is how we roll. Literally, because saved derma roller pins are up 345%. You can go ice rolling, you can pick an Instagrammable jade or quartz, the options are endless. Stick them in the fridge, give yourself a quick morning massage, and puffy undereyes are no longer an issue. And once you go rolling, it’s hard to go back—the next step is microneedling, which isn’t as scary as it sounds.
