“New year, new me!” That’s what so many people say when the holiday season starts to wrap up. A new year brings a whole new set of possibilities and experiences.
There is a reason people always get so amped up and motivated for the new year. In our minds, the beginning of a new year really resonates. It makes us think this is another chapter in our lives. You can want the new chapter to be as great as the last chapter (or perhaps just very different).
You don’t need to necessarily re-invent yourself. But you can evaluate and take note of what you think you may need to work on. Maybe you want to become a better listener. Maybe you want to become more patient. Whatever it is that you want to work on, it just seems like a clean slate.
