Earlier, the Duke of Cambridge revealed that Prince George recently played a sheep in his school nativity, which of course was met with cries of ‘awww’ across the land.
‘I went to my boy’s nativity play. It was funny,’ the Duke told reporters on Wednesday during a visit to Salford, Manchester. ‘He was a sheep.’
Well, Prince William. In honour of this, why don’t we take a look back at your nursery school nativity photo from 1986.
The four-year-old prince’s outfit is not 100% clear from this picture, but we can see a long skirt of sorts, so we’re thinking shepherd or wise man.
Prince Harry was also spotted en route to his nativity in the 1980s. First there was when he three-years-old and kitted out in a red goblin costume for his nursery school’s nativity in 1987:
Just a year later, after starting school, Prince Harry, now four, was back. This time, his role had been upgraded from red goblin, which we’re pretty sure was not in the original nativity story, to shepherd.
