Whether you’re making a fresh batch of lemonade, a citrus salad dressing, or a lemon tart, chances are you’ll be using your handheld lemon squeezer.
For most people, the lemon-juicing process goes like this: cut a lemon in half, put it in the squeezer with the cut side down, and squeeze. But it turns out, you’re juicing the fruit all wrong.
Apparently, there’s a better way to use your squeezer — and it will give you even more juice, according to Buzzfeed.
After cutting your lemon (or lime) in half, cut a small piece of skin off of the other side. Then put your fruit into the squeezer with the skin side down. With a quick press, the juice will easily come out.
So I've been doing this wrong my entire life … it's all been a lie … feeling bamboozled … who am i pic.twitter.com/QZw8EbFYmj
