Pamela Anderson has never shied away when it comes to voicing her opinion on fur and animal rights, regularly calling out other celebs in an attempt to change their ways. Now she’s got her eye on Kim Kardashian, Dazeddigital.com reports.
It’s emerged that Anderson sent a bright coral faux fur jacket to America’s reality queen, along with a personal letter pleading with her to ditch the fur.
“As we all ponder New Year’s resolutions,” the actress wrote, “won’t you consider making a meaningful one to stop wearing fur?” You’d be setting a trendy, compassionate example.”
Anderson references Gisele Bundchen’s recent cruelty-free cover of Vogue Paris and lists a whole host of designer names who have scrapped fur, including Gucci, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, to really drive her point home.
Gucci recently announced its ban on coyote, mink, fox, raccoon, karakul, rabbit, and other species bred or caught for the purpose of fur. They will be replaced by new technology-produced fabrics, wool and faux fur, as of S/S18.
This isn’t the first time Anderson has slammed a celebrity for their use of real fur, targeting Naomi Campbell earlier this month. According to Page Six, she told the supermodel: “People follow you. You are a fashion icon, please have a heart and lose the real fur.”
