A family was left stunned after watching a huge tarantula and a wasp half its size battle to the death.
Despite being much larger, the tarantula struggled to defend itself from the predator known as a tarantula hawk.
Tarantula hawks hunt the hairy spiders – grabbing them with hooked claws – and deliver one of the most painful stings to humans.
This dramatic death fight was captured on camera while parents Karen and Matthew Perry were on a hike with their children Cash and Cadence.
In the end, the spider wasn’t able to defend itself and will now serve as a host for the wasp’s offspring before dying.
