As with all new things, we are more likely to achieve greater results if we honor our bodies and ourselves by being in the healthiest condition we can be. By establishing and engaging in healthy sleep and rest patterns, exercise routines, and a healthy diet, we are providing a solid foundation to build on, whether it be physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually.

Establishing a series of fixed habits—to be completed day after day—can help you get into a prosperous groove. Refer back to them each day until you become familiar with them. Some processes only take five minutes, while others take longer. But there is no hard and fast rule on length of time, so do what feels comfortable for you. The intention is that these processes will be easily incorporated into your life and become a normal way of being.

1. Change your wake-up time
Set your alarm to wake you up 30 minutes earlier than usual. It may sound crazy, but it’ll be worth it. And remember: No snoozing! It’s just one of the quickest tricks to help you sleep better later!

2. Morning gratitudes
Before getting out of bed, express out loud or write down at least five things you are grateful for, and share why you are grateful for these things.

For example: I am grateful for my bed because it keeps me feeling cozy and comfortable while I’m sleeping.

3. Smile!
After brushing your teeth in the morning, smile for 20 to 30 seconds while looking in the bathroom mirror. The more cheesy and silly the smile, the better you’ll feel. This helps me generate “feel good” chemicals in the brain that activate a sense of well-being and joy.

4. Practice your mantras
Dedicate 15 to 30 minutes to doing your prosperity mantras. Do it when you are driving in the car to work or running errands. You can also revisit these mantras throughout the day to magnify their potency.

The prosperity mantras I use are:

1. Om gum ganapataye namaha (Om guhm guh-nuh-puh-tuh-yea nah-mah-hah): Clears obstacles to a happy, healthy, prosperous life.

2. Om shreem maha l’akshmye namaha (Om shr-eem mah-hah lahk-shmee-yay nah- mah-hah): Attracts prosperity in all areas of life.

3. Om breez namaha (Om brah-zee nah-mah-hah): Attracts good fortune and abundance

5. Take a break
Take periodic breaks throughout the day to rest your mind. Do this by finding an opportunity to be out in nature and focus on being fully present with your five senses.

6. Smile—again!
Smile more, all throughout the day, at all those you encounter.

7. Just have fun
Throughout the day, find some time to play and have fun. The key is to think less and feel more.

Some ways I like to play are to jump on a rebounder (mini trampoline), sing, paint, watch a funny movie, or dance around the house. Try a gratitude dance for a fun thankful break!

8. Reflect on the day
At night, reflect on all the wonderful things that happened during the day. Then reflect on your relationship with money. This allows you to experience a deeper relationship with the money in your life, and it prepares you for the future prosperity that will be entering your life soon.

9. Early bedtime
Go to bed 30 minutes earlier than usual, so that your body can receive some extra time to rejuvenate itself and it will have time to operate at its most optimum level the next day.
