SCIENTISTS have delved deeply into what lads want more of in the bedroom, with surprising results.

Most people think that men want a porn star in the bedroom, but what they really desire couldn’t be further from the truth.

Contrary to popular belief, lads don’t want chains or whips but some soft candlelight and a good cuddle.

According to a new study from researchers at the Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington and the Centre for Sexual Health Promotion, both men and women want affectionate sex the most.

So women, focus on wooing your guy with compliments and kisses to really rev him up during the act.

Lead author and professor Debby Herbenick said: “Contrary to some stereotypes, the most appealing behaviours, even for men, are romantic and affectionate behaviours.

“These included kissing more often during sex, cuddling, saying sweet/romantic things during sex, making the room feel romantic in preparation for sex, and so on.”

Researchers also quizzed the participants about which sex acts and sexy behaviours they’ve previously indulged in and how enjoyable they were.

Roughly 80% admitted to engaging in penetrative sex, oral sex and masturbation throughout their sex lives and most couples agreed that wearing sexy lingerie and exchanging nude photos are big turn ons.

Debby added: ”These data highlight opportunities for couples to talk more openly with one another about their sexual desires and interests.

“Together they may find new ways of being romantic or sexual with one another, enhancing both their sexual satisfaction and relationship happiness.”

Previously sex researchers revealed the first thing you should do before sex to get your romp off to the right start.

Experts reckon it’s better to focus on satisfying your partner’s desires first – and doing so can boost sexual enjoyment for the both of you.

A recent study, published in the journal Social Psychological and Personality Science, studied the “sexual communal strength” in long-term couples.

Lovers filled out sex surveys every day for three weeks and researchers found that the generous lovers had higher levels of daily arousal and felt more turned on by their partner.
