The body parts ladies are most unhappy with are their “muffin tops” and “love handles”, followed by their breasts.

While most men are self-conscious about their beer bellies. But it is possible to fool your metabolism into burning off this stubborn fat.

Everyone knows that as people age their metabolism typically slows down, but with a few simple tricks you can fool your body into burning more fat.

According to an article written by By Samantha Heller, M.S., R.D. and published in Health Magazine, most people’s metabolic rate, which is defined as the energy your body uses when it is at rest, is typically based on genetics.

Some people’s bodies will naturally burn off fat faster, while others might struggle to shift theses extras pounds.

If you fall into the latter group, here are four simple things you can do to help your body burn fat faster.

1. GUZZLE SOME ICE COLD WATER

Jumpstart your day by gulping down a large glass of ice cold water, which can instantly boost metabolism.

Starting your day off with a good breakfast is also key. Choose healthy foods, such as whole-wheat toast and a tablespoon of peanut butter or fat-free yogurt with a handful of nuts or granola.

2. GRAZE ON CATABOLIC FOODS

Catabolic foods burn more calories than they supply. For example a medium sized apple would provide an average of 85 calories, however your metabolism would require an additional 99 more calories to burn it off. As a result, you burn calories and hopefully fat.

Here is a list of fat-burning foods you should add to your diet immediately:

3. DO THE RIGHT EXERCISES

All forms of psychical activity are good for your body, but certain types are better at fooling your metabolism into burning fat.

Weightlifting is particularly good because muscle tissue burns more calories than fat tissue, so increasing your muscle mass will help you lose weight

Aim to do muscle-strengthening activities on two or more days a week that work all major muscle groups – legs, hips, back, abdomen, chest, shoulders and arms.

Interval training is also beneficial when it comes to burning fat. with interval training you are tricking your metabolism into continuously burning more fat because your workout alternates short bursts of intense activity with slower, less intense activity.

4. DON’T STARVE YOURSELF

This is where a lot of people go wrong. if you are looking to lose weigh you shouldn’t starve yourself. When you restrict your calories you are depriving your body of necessary energy source.

This can actually slow down your metabolism because the body is tricked into believing that it must store carbs and fat until more food is available.

Instead, eat regular meals filled with healthy foods that will provide your body energy and boost its metabolism.
