Famous artworks have been reinterpreted in London using one of the best canvases for expression: the human body.
Body paint artist Sarah Attwell has painted some of the world’s most renowned paintings on five naked models, including Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, Picasso’s Seated Woman and Edvward Munch’s The Scream.
The beautifully painted human works of art were seen walking the streets of the British capital ahead of London Frieze Week – an international fair for contemporary art.
Ms Atwell was commissioned by the online gallery Rise Art, who wanted to show that ‘great art is for everybody’.
The moving exhibition took over 12 hours to complete with a team of 5 artists, following weeks of development to determine the works that would work best on the body.
