If the thought of the latest season of Game of Thrones coming to an end fills you with despair, you may be excited to hear that a video game based on the popular fantasy epic is rumoured to be in the works, Mirror reports.
First spotted by “That Damn Kid” on NeoGaf , US supermarket Target currently has a listing up on its website entitled “Bethesda: Game of Thrones”.
There’s no other information or imagery on the page and, despite rumours that the game could be announced at the end of last night’s season finale, nothing has been revealed.
However, Bethesda – the video game publisher behind hits like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4 – is known to have two unnamed, large-scale products in the works, and has long been rumoured to be working on a Game Of Thrones game.
It has also warned that there will be no new Elder Scrolls game “anytime soon”, opening up space in the publisher’s calendar for a new title.
Given the astronomical success of the HBO TV series, there have been surprisingly few Game of Thrones-related video games over the years.
