These Pool Floats Fit Six People and Are Definitely Where the Party’s At

Ever since Taylor Swift rode a swan pool float into our hearts during the summer of 2015, inflatables have popped up in practically every shape imaginable, from pizza to peacocks to pretzels. But so far, they’ve only managed to fit one or two people at a time — until now.

Just in time for spring break, Sam’s Club released a series of three absolutely enormous pool floats in the shape of a unicorn, a flamingo, and a peacock that can hold up to six adults at a time.

These “personal animal islands” — as they’re called on Sam’s Club’s website — don’t come cheap. While the regular size pool floats will set you back about $20 to $30, each one of these mega-floats retails for $149.98 at Sam’s Club stores and on their website.

But, look! Both the unicorn and flamingo floats come with built-in cup holders and a cooler so you can really make yourself at home out there on the water.

Stretching about 10 feet long by 10 feet wide, these big birds are a little too large to fit in most pools — so you’re best saving them for your next lake house vacation or trip to the beach.

Their massive size will also require some extra time to inflate them. One person wrote in their online review that it took about 20 minutes to inflate one with a single handheld air pump.

While the peacock float doesn’t have the built-in cup holders and cooler, the tail serves as a lounger that can fit up to three people at a time. According to the description online, “no day on the lake is complete without resting by the gentle tail feathers of a towering inflatable peacock.”

Exactly.
