It was a case of vintage meets space-age at the Moschino show for Milan Fashion Week on Wednesday.
And leading the pack were supermodel sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid, who stormed the runway in outfits that channeled Jackie Kennedy, especially from emerging model Kaia Gerber who was a dead ringer for the former First Lady.
Sisters Gigi, 21, and Bella, 20, looked as incredible as ever as they marched along in figure-hugging dresses in bold pastel colours, the Daily Mail reports.
Their ‘dos were styled in Jackie O 60s fashion, Bella’s brunette bob flicked at the ends and Gigi sporting blonde sultry waves.
The outfits were injected with a post-modernism, however; they were positively intergalactic with jagged edges, zig-zagged cut outs and sparkling embellishments.
Bella’s pale pink floor-length gown hugged at her supermodel physique, featuring a top-to-toe slice of silver that intercut with the delicate pastels in sharp spikes.
Gigi’s was perhaps a little softer, featuring a less-harsh bejeweled turquoise detailing around the shoulders and the bust.
The pair later stepped out in skirt suits in bold purple and orange colours, carrying shoulder purses and wearing feature earrings and pillbox hats.
They were joined by Kaia Gerber – daughter of Cindy Crawford – who stunned in a bright orange suit, while Gigi stepped out in a lighter, furry version of the look embellished with black PVC.
The models were seen strutting through a blue tunnel onto the catwalk, with the Hadid sisters and Kaia keeping focused as they strutted along in equally brightly-coloured heels.
They managed to avoid having to paint their bodies in the array of body paint being demonstrated by their co-stars, who looked slightly alien with green and yellow skin.
