The search term ‘Porn for Women’ grew by a whopping 359 per cent among female internet users last year, as more women logged on to view sexual material online, figures from providers show.
According to Pornhub’s 2017 report, 28.5 billion people visited the site last year and the number one search term was ‘Porn for Women’.
Among all users the phrase saw a 1,400 percent increase in searches between 2016 and 2017, Mashable reported.
Meanwhile rival provider, xHamster has produced a year-end report and projection for 2018.
It shows that the site saw a 2.4 percent increase in women viewers across the globe.
In terms of individual countries, the site recorded the biggest gains in South Africa, where female users grew by 23 percent.
Female porn users in Saudi Arabia also increased 11 per cent, according to xHamster.
However, China saw a 28 percent decrease in women users.

The site says that the share of women viewers on porn sites has increased steadily in the last few years.
Earlier this year, figures from Pornhub, showed that women are far more likely to look at online porn using their phone than men are, it has been revealed.
Pornhub found that 71 percent of its female users visit the portal using a smartphone and are 16 percent more likely to reach for the device than men.
The research shows that 80 percent of women who visit the site opt to use a smartphone or table, compared to 69 percent of their male counterparts.
