Anyone who has struggled to get pregnant could tell you that having fertility issues can be a deeply painful and lonely experience.
So we can’t help but admire a new charity initiative by the online fertility magazine IVFbabble, which is designed to help women who are going through fertility problems feel less alone.
And this touching campaign is the reason you may have spotted celebrities on Instagram wearing cute pineapple pins.
Designed to raise money for the Fertility Network, the Pineapple Pin campaign has already received support from high-profile social media users, including Fearne Cotton, Kate Thornton and Izzy Judd, wife of McFly’s Harry Judd.
Put simply, wearing the Pineapple Pin helps you show your support for women going through fertility problems, while also raising awareness and funds.
According to the IVFBabble website, they chose a pineapple because it’s long been regarded as a symbol of friendship and warmth.
Speaking about what the campaign means to her on her Instagram post, Fearne Cotton wrote: ‘My wonderful friend Sara has started up a game changing initiative!
‘I’m wearing this pineapple pin to show my strength, love and support for those whose lives have been touched by fertility struggles.’
Meanwhile, Kate Thornton wrote: ‘Proudly wearing this pin to show love and support for those who’ve been touched by fertility struggles.’
The Pineapple Pin is available to buy directly on the IVFBabble website, or on Amazon.
We’re sure you’ll agree that it’s a worthy cause!
