If you work in an office, chances are you’re sitting for most of the day. All this sitting can cause fatigue and is definitely not helping out our health! Try some of these awesome work out techniques created for the lazy girl and boss girl! Get fit while working your office job, and you can thank us later!
1. Seated leg lifts
Your coworkers won’t even notice you doing these seated leg lifts under your desk. In a sitting position, lift one of your legs up and straighten. Hold for a few seconds, then slowly lower your foot and hover over the floor for a few more seconds. Repeat this for each leg around 10-15 times for an optimal workout.
2. Chair arm lifts
This workout will target your chest and shoulders. In a seated position, use both hands on your chair arms to slowly life the bottom of your body off the chair. Hover here, for a few seconds, then lower slowly and hover over your seat for a few more seconds. Repeat 10-15 or until you feel the burn!
3. Invisible squeezes
There are a few options for this tightening, holding, and then loosening technique. A repetition of 10-15 kegels can be done discreetly with no weird glances from your coworkers. Or you can choose to do some butt clenches to take care of your booty. If you want to work on your abs, try a few ab squeezes by tightening your stomach muscles. Nobody will know unless you start to break a sweat!
4. Swivel chair crunches
When sitting at your desk, you might be lucky enough to have a swivel chair. While they can be fun to roll around in, they can also be helpful in your next workout! In a seated position, hover your feet off the floor, hold on to your desk with your hands, and now the fun part: swivel left and right to work out your obliques. Try three sets of 15 reps for this creative swivel workout!
