As Brits get more adventurous in (and out) of the bedroom, sex-related accidents are increasing.

But this bedroom mishap has to be the scariest yet. A 29-year-old English man lost part of his vision after having a particularly strong orgasm.

Thankfully the patient didn’t lose his sight permanently, but he did wake up with impaired vision the morning after the night before.

The man went to the hospital and had to admit to the doctor that he had participated in “vigorous sexual intercourse”.

Upon examination, medics discovered a tiny haemorrhage in his left eye that was blocking part of his vision.

Doctors revealed that the man had probably held his breath and strained his abdominal muscles during orgasm, causing pressure to build up and a blood vessel to burst in his eyeball.

The case study, which was published in the British Medical Journal, said the condition resolved itself spontaneously and the guy got his sight back.

Some guys hold their breath during sex to prevent premature ejaculation, while others control their breathing to intensify the orgasm.

But there are plenty of other ways to make your orgasm feel stronger and last longer. In fact, men can even have multiple orgasms.

Stu Nugent, resident sex expert at Lelo has revealed to the Daily Star Online that men can achieve multiple orgasms by doing kegel exercises.
