VICTORIA’S (ACTUAL) SECRET
There’s nothing like the feeling of slipping into a clean, fresh pair of underwear. Most people know that you should change underwear daily and throw your dirty ones in the wash. However, regular washing may not be enough. Even after going through a rinse cycle, clean panties can still contain as much as 10,000 bacteria. Gross!
Experts therefore recommend throwing out your underwear after a year and washing them in hot water while in use. This may help prevent contact with organisms such as E. Coli and dust mites, and reduce your chances of developing UTIs or other infections.

DIRTY LAUNDRY
Apart from underwear, you should be changing your pajamas and bed sheets at least once a week. Sweat and skin cells can accumulate, making it prime real estate for unwanted bacteria to thrive. Make sure your washing machine is doing a thorough job as well. You can do this by running a cycle with no clothes to wash it out, and by regularly clearing it of any soap build-up.
