4 Easy Steps to Better Brows

When your brows are full and defined, your face looks slimmer, your eyes stand out more, and you automatically seem polished. So you can see why I’m obsessed with them, right? For the softest effect, use a brow pomade that’s a notch lighter than your brow hairs (if they’re blonde, go with a taupe). I showed our model, Nicole, how to do it in 30 seconds flat. Check out her finished look: She’s not wearing much makeup and she’s so gorgeous.

1 | START IN THE FRONT

Brush through brows with a spooley brush, then dip an angled brow brush in the pomade. Sweep it on from the inner corner to just before the arch using tiny strokes and going in the direction of the hair growth.

2 | SHIFT AT THE ARCH

Right around this point, the hairs begin growing on an angle, so turn the brush horizontally and continue filling in with short strokes. Stay within the edges of your brows— don’t brush above or below them.

3 | FILL IN BALD SPOTS

If you have a scar or an obvious sparse area, go back and dab on more product with the brush until it’s completely covered. For all-day staying power, tap a matching brow powder or eyeshadow on top of the spot.

4 | SET THEM IN PLACE

Run the spooley brush through brows to blend, then mist the brush with hairspray and skim over them again. For extra lift, pat a bit of concealer along brow bones. Add mascara, blush, and lip gloss, and you’re good to go.
